Personal Profile

The PTSA at Suitland High School is pleased to announce our 4th annual Scholarship Program. We are offering scholarships to our graduating seniors. The PTSA Scholarship Committee will select the awardees through the use of a rubric (found below). The award check will be given directly to the student(s) for expenses related to post-secondary education, including, but not limited to, tuition, housing, books, student fees, etc. The winner(s) will be announced at the Senior Awards Night.  PLEASE READ THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW BEFORE YOU BEGIN YOUR APPLICATION.

Rubric Document

Requirements 

​Please review the following requirements below:

  • Must be a graduating senior from Suitland High School continuing education to post-secondary school in the fall of 2024.

  • Must be a paid member of the Suitland High PTSA by April 21, 20234

  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Required Documents

​Must have all of the following below: 

  1. Letter of recommendation from one of your 12th-grade teachers.

  2. Transcript (can be unofficial).

  3. Completed 300 to 350-word essay.

Essay Questions

Please answer both questions below: 

1. Explain how your leadership has positively impacted the Suitland High School Community.
2. If you had the authority to change your school in a positive way, what specific changes would you make and why?
